Galgadud, (insidesomalia.org) - A gunbattle between rival Somali militia groups sparked by a land dispute in Adado town of Galgadud region Sunday morning, witnesses said.
Anti-aircraft rounds and heavy machine gun fire from the fighting has rocked in the town.
An eyewitness, who asked not to be named, said he saw three large pickup trucks bristling with guns enter a residential neighborhood and fire indiscriminately.
The witness added that another group of militiamen, stationed at a shot back at the three battle wagons sparking heavy fighting.

The fighting sparked widespread concern in the town.
The area was calm for the last month after previously heavy fighting between Alshabab Islamic fighters and armed government allied militias has earlier broken out in the town that managed for Alshabab fighters to seize the town from government backed militias.
Residents said they were angry over what they considered pointless violence.
The dispute land’s motive was reported to be following one of the two groups returned to the disputed plot of land that earlier was contentious with its ownership.
Intensive mediation efforts on the part of the local administration, elders and religious leaders from neutral clans seem to be underway to get cool the situation but the ensuing escalation of violence was attributed to a long-simmering rivalry between the clans
